“Riser” is a cover from the album "My Other Brothers. It is a song that Marc Lee Shannon first heard by way of a friend and was haunted by its truth until he finally had to record it.
“This song, more than any other on this record, speaks to me of the resilience of the fall down, get back up determination it takes to tough out the hard stretches of highway and keep progressing along the aging continuum. At one point, you just have to say, “Yes” I can keep going no matter what.”
